The certificates we sell are 'trusted root', meaning web browsers recognize them as trusted certificates. But some other certificates are 'chained root', and must 'chain' to a trusted root (like GeoTrust) to be recognized as secure. Installing chained root certificates can be complicated, and some servers and applications aren't compatible with them. By offering trusted root certificates, you'll avoid customer headaches, and your support team will thank you.

QuickSSL certificates are 'domain validated', meaning the certificate is checked against the WHOIS information of the domain name owner. They are a good choice for everyday ecommerce sites.
For sites that want an extra level of security, the QuickSSL Premium certificate includes all the features of a QuickSSL certificate, and also features the GeoTrust 'Smart Seal': a dynamically updated date and time stamp. This lets visitors know the website owner is on top of security issues.
True BusinessID includes a smart seal that is embedded with your company name, date and timestamp. Like QuickSSL, True BusinessID certificates are 'domain validated'; they are also validated against business owner information, which adds even more security.
True BusinessID Wildcard lets you secure multiple websites with the same domain name on a single server. It's an inexpensive solution that's easy to administer, and is perfect for multiple subdomains.
